This Privacy Policy explains Culligan Soft Water Service Company’s data practices, defines our users’ (“you” or “your“) privacy options, and describes how your information is collected and used by Culligan Soft Water Service Company (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Culligan Water“).
This Privacy Policy, along with our Terms of Use, governs your use of the Culligan Water website at http://www.culliganwater.com/ and https://www.onlinebiller.com/culliganwater (the “Sites”), any mobile application we may develop. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, we will refer to all of these access points as the Culligan Water system (“System“).

Personal information does not include anonymous or aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify a specific person, even if combined with other data. What Information is Collected?
Information Collected Directly from You
We collect personal information about you in connection with your use of our System. For example, information you voluntarily provide when you:
- Sign up for a mailing list online or through our events;

- Use the “Find my Dealer” feature;

- Fill out a “Contact Us” form or contact us at your offices;

- Schedule an appointment or request an in-home water test;

Collecting Information from Children Under the Age of 16
Our Site and System are not designed for or targeted toward children, and we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from any person under the age of 16. Sending or initiating direct marketing programs, such as newsletters or information about new products or services we are offering; communicating on social media platforms where users discuss our products or use a hashtag related to our products. - Personalizing user experiences on our System

Text Messaging
We may share your SMS opt-in or consent status with our dealers and third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to our System or providing you with the services of that campaign.
Sharing with Law Enforcement
We may share your personal information in connection with government or law enforcement requests or in response to investigations, subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes to protect the rights or property of Culligan Water, its affiliates, users, and customers, establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, or as otherwise required by law.

We use cookies, pixels and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our System and store certain information. Tracking technologies are used to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our System. The technologies we use may include:

Pixels are small transparent images embedded in a website, email or ad and may provide information to platforms such as LinkedIn, Google, Meta or TikTok, who may combine your information with other information they have about you. We use pixels to automatically collect information when you visit our System. These technologies usually track advertising preferences from site to site, and gather data about a users’ browsing habits to improve the user experience. - Cookies

More specifically, these vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytic cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to the Site or another site affiliated with Culligan Water products or services. You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising by using Google’s Ads Settings.
Like many other companies, we rely on retargeting, also known as remarketing, which is a type of marketing strategy that helps businesses “remind” visitors of their products and services after they leave their websites. For instance, through the use of cookies (and similar tracking technologies) placed by advertising providers, online identifiers (considered personal information) are collected and then used to identify visitors to the Site on other websites or social media platforms. You may also unsubscribe by emailing us at unsubscribeme@culliganwater.com and putting the text “Unsubscribe” in the subject line and the email address you are unsubscribing from our marketing list in the body of the email.

- You may limit the ability of Google Analytics to track your online activity, as outlined in the “Behavioral Advertising” section.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) which may include the:
- Right to know the source of the personal information we have about you, our use of that information, and whether and with whom it is shared.
- Right to request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to request correction of any inaccuracies in the personal information we have collected from you and retained.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect, process or use sensitive personal information to make inferences about you. We use sensitive personal information only as set forth in this Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable law.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information with third parties.
Selling or Sharing of Your Personal Information
The CCPA defines “sale” as the transfer of personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. Although we do not “sell” personal information as that term may be commonly interpreted, we engage in online activities that may constitute a sale or a share (for behavioral advertising) of personal information under California law. This may include showing you targeted or customized advertisements on other websites. You may opt out of the selling or sharing of your personal information by clicking Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We do not knowingly “sell” or “share” the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Shine The Light Law
If you are a California resident and have an established business relationship with us, California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by us to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes (as those terms are defined in that statute). State Privacy Rights
A number of US states may provide their residents with certain privacy rights, including:
- Access and Data Portability. You may confirm whether we process your personal data and access a copy of the personal data we process.

Under the Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A, we do not currently engage in the “sale” of personal information.
Exercising Your Privacy Rights
Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.
The verifiable consumer request must: 1) provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative of that person; and 2) describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.
We seek to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Third Party Websites and Links
Our System may contain links to other websites. These websites may have privacy policies different than our Privacy Policy. The System may also contain certain social media icons or widgets. Although you can view the material we have linked to, you may have to create an individual account or register to use these third-party social media sites to use interactive features. Any interaction on social media or other third-party websites is governed not by this privacy policy but by the terms of use and privacy policy of the particular platform.
