Water Filtration Systems

Get a Filter. Or Be a Filter.

Home water filtration systems remove small particles like sediment, iron, manganese, chlorine and even gasses (like hydrogen sulfide) from water. The water filters trap these particles, in sizes as small as 10 microns, as water travels through it. A home water filtration system must be backwashed periodically, requiring the unit to be taken off-line while the flow of water through the filter is reversed.

The reverse flow of water is directed to a drain and the trapped sediment is rinsed out. When completed, the water filtration system is ready to work. Culligan water filters can be configured to solve any water problem. To learn more about Culligan water filters and water filtration systems, check out our Water Treatment FAQ page.

Installed at your home's water source, Culligan home water filtration systems enhance water from every faucet and tap, providing an all-in-one solution built to handle the unique water needs of your home. With the advanced reverse osmosis filtration and water conditioning from Culligan's water treatment systems you get cleaner, better-tasting drinking water right from your kitchen faucet.

Do you want to filter out fairly benign contaminants like chlorine, or mild dissolved solids, or sediment? Or is there something more harmful, such as arsenic, lurking in your water? Learning what's in your water is the first and most important step in deciding what kind of whole house water filtration system is right for you.

It's also important to isolate why you're thinking about filtering your water. It's one thing if you have a contaminant issue that's making water smell or taste bad, but if issues are more subtle there can be additional factors to consider when it comes to your whole house water filtration system, and its impact throughout your home.

Do any of the following apply to you or your family?

If so, your family could benefit from a whole house water filtration system from Culligan!

Your water comes from one of two places, a private well or a municipal water supply, making the water in every home unique. The EPA suggests that you check your well water annually. Water from different wells may be blended. Water from municipalities travels a long way through new and old pipes before it reaches your home.

The pipes in your home may add additional contaminants depending on the age of your home. In addition, your home may be on an older water main, and a water main break may introduce contaminants into the water. That's why Culligan suggests a water test before we recommend solutions. Culligan has water solutions that are specifically designed to solve any water problem.

Filter Cleer

Cloudy, hazy water gets that way due to sediment in the water. Culligan Filter-Cleer water filters remove dirt, silt, clay and other types of sediment from your water supply. The Filter-Cleer is four water filters in one. They work at different levels, stacked on top of each other, each removing a particular size of sediment particle.

Absolutely no cartridges to change or clean. The Filter-Cleer filter treats all the water in your house, not just from one faucet.
